Vitamin B6

Vitamin B6 has a huge impact on your energy levels; it is essential to the metabolism of proteins, fats and carbs and is needed for healthy blood cell production - those all-important cells that carry oxygen around the body. A lack of them can cause fatigue and breathlessness if you’re not careful. Vitamin B6 also contributes to the regulation of hormones and the reduction of overall tiredness.

Vitamin C

Vitamin C - Many animals can actually synthesise their own Vitamin C - we, on the other hand, have to fit it into our diet. Vitamin C helps our body repair itself by healing wounds and forming scar tissue. We use Vitamin C in Iron Up not only because it’s proven to decrease fatigue, but because it helps your body absorb iron better. In one study, taking 100mg of Vitamin C with a meal increased iron absorption by 67%!

Vitamin B5 & Vitamin B3

Vitamin B5’s other name, panthothenic acid, is derived from the Greek pantothen, which means ‘from everywhere’, and indeed, B5 can be found in almost every food. Vitamin B5 contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism and the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Deficiency symptoms include extreme lethargy and tiredness. Due to resultant low Coenzyme A (CoA) levels, there is a broken energy production system, causing symptoms of fatigue, irritability and apathy. Contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism Contributes to reduction of tiredness and fatigue.

Vitamin B3 - We’ve selected vitamin B3 as an ingredient in Get up and Go, because it helps convert food into energy. We can create a small amount of it ourselves, but we get most of it from our food. Symptoms of a Vitamin B3 deficiency (known as ‘pellagra’) include severe lack of energy and fatigue. Contributes to normal energy-yielding metabolism. Cordyceps Sinesis & Guarana

Cordyceps Sinesis is a herbal ingredient that’s been used in traditional Chinese and Tibetan medicine for years and is considered an adaptogen, i.e. it’s thought to help the body adapt to stress. It’s most commonly found in the Himalayan mountains. Research shows that taking mushroom supplements may regulate blood glucose by increasing the circulation of insulin and reducing glucose back to normal. A 17th century Jesuit missionary notes that Guarana gave members of an Amazon tribe ‘so much energy, that when hunting, they could go from one day to the next without feeling hungry’. Now that’s a pretty good reference, eh? The seeds of its fruit are the same size as a coffee bean but contain more caffeine than a coffee bean! The word guaraná derives from the Sateré-Maué word warana, meaning ‘fruit like the eyes of the people’ or ‘eyes of the gods’. This ingredient has been used medically for years by past and present tribes; as a pain reliever, cardiovascular drug, preventative for arteriosclerosis, a stimulant, and tonic to treat diarrhoea.

Game changer!

Get up and go has been a real game changer for me. I often suffered with a 3pm lull and struggled to concentrate after lunch, thanks to these I get none of this anymore. My energy levels are sustained and unlike other 'energy' products there is no energy spike and nasty side effects, just consistent energy and alertness throughout the day.
