Turmeric

Turmeric - With its anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties it supports normal liver function. The first use of Turmeric dates back to nearly 4000 years ago to the Vedic culture in India. Derived from the rhizomes of the turmeric plant, it has a long history of use in Ayurvedic medicine as a treatment for inflammatory conditions. India produces nearly all of the world’s turmeric crop and consumes 80% of it! Curcuminoids are a prominent family of active compounds in turmeric. Curcuminoids are great for the management of oxidative and inflammatory conditions and might even aid management of exercise-induced inflammation and muscle soreness.

8 Strain Probiotic

Probiotics are live microorganisms that are great for your body. According to studies, taking probiotics after being unwell can significantly improve well-being and gut health afterward. The good bacteria fight off all the bad bacteria - making you feel right as rain again! Fun fact: everyone’s microbiome is unique. No two people have the same microbial cells - even twins are different! The eight different strains of probiotics are as follows: Lactobacillus rhamnosus, lactobacillus salivarius, lactobacillus casei, bifidobacterium lactis, bifidobacterium longum, bigdobacterium bifidum, streptococcus bifidum - these hard-to-pronounce words work wonders for maintaining gut health.

Wooden bowl with small purple flowers inside sat on wooden surface with a piece of large Inulin

Inulin

Inulin is a non-digestible food ingredient that promotes the growth of beneficial microorganisms in the intestines, and it belongs to a group of dietary fibres known as fructans. In less sciencey terms, inulin keeps our gut healthy. Westernised diets often contain very little fibre - between 13-20 grams per adult, whereas more traditional diets contain over 20g per day of inulin or fructooligosaccharides (have fun pronouncing that one!) Promotes growth of beneficial bacteria Studies show that taking daily inulin supplements helps increase regular bowel movements Increases overall gut health
